A Guide to Industrial Blades

A Guide to Industrial Blades

Bandsaw and circular saw blades come in all different sizes, shapes and materials – it can be difficult to understand which industrial blades you require.

Whether you are looking for an industrial blade to deal with general cutting, or something more specialised and specific, we’re going to be covering the range of blades available at Anton Saws here today.

Our guide below will cover all you need to know and consider when choosing industrial blades!

Bandsaw Blades

We have a range of bandsaw blades available for a range of jobs. As the exclusive UK Macc reseller/distributor, we’re able to provide all bandsaw blades for your Macc saws.

M42 Bi-Metal Bandsaw Blades

Bi-metal bandsaw blades are based on a fatigue-resistant high alloy steel backing strip with around 4% chromium content. This formulation ensures that the blade can withstand the severe mechanical stresses exerted by modern high production rate bandsaw machines.

Our range of bi-metal bandsaw blades covers all blade widths, tooth geometries and pitches required for metal sawing applications. Use these industrial blades for cutting steel and stainless steel.

Carbon Bandsaw Blades

Carbon bandsaw blades are manufactured from carbon steel with the teeth induction hardened to provide wear resistance. Moreover, the backing strip is heat-treated to create a flexible characteristic. They are used for cutting wood or soft alloys such as aluminium.

HSS Circular Saw Blades

High speed steel (HSS) blades, for smooth precision metal cutting are available here at Anton Saws. They are just one half of our range of circular saw blades!

Steam Treated Blades

These industrial blades are used on hand-operated machines, used to cut mild steel.

TiN Coated Blades

Again, hand-operated machines use these blades for cutting stainless steel, and on semi/fully automatic machines to cut both mild and stainless steel.

M35 80% Cobalt Blades

These blades are used for cutting very hard materials, best suited for automatic machines for production cutting.

Additionally, many of our customers find them very useful on hand-operated machines, as they increase blade life and therefore save down whilst cutting harder materials.

TCT Circular Saw Blades

Tungsten carbide tipped (TCT) blades are hard wearing and versatile for use with aluminium, wood and other non ferrous metals.

Alternate Top Bevel Ground (ATB)

Our coarse tooth blades are all ATB, creating a sharp cutting point and edge for a better quality cut without chipping or splinters. These industrial blades are generally used for cutting natural timber, plywood, veneer or hardboard.

Triple Chip Ground (TCG)

TCG are found on our finer tooth blades. They combine a balanced cutting force, low tooth drag and free chip flow to eliminate chipping in brittle materials such as chip board and laminates. Also, you can use these to achieve smooth cuts in hard materials such as MDF.
